Thank you for purchasing your 2017-Up Arctic Cat 9000 / Yamaha Sidewinder cold air intake kit from BMP! This intake kit is designed to increase airflow and eliminate the stock airbox. Our testing showed no tuning was needed when adding this intake unless your current tune is somewhat lean. Installation for this kit is relatively easy. Follow the steps below to install your torsion kit for big performance gains!

IMPORTANT - Read the entire instructions before proceeding. If any of it does not make sense or is not in your skillset, please have an experienced technician perform the install.

1 - Remove both side panels and hood

2 - Remove the stock airbox cover and filter

3 - Remove the 3 bolts on the underside of the clutch guard, then pull the airbox away from the sled until the main intake tube pops out of place

4 - Remove both vent lines in the back of the airbox

5 - Zip tie the solenoid vent line and crankcase breather up and away from moving parts; venting them to the atmosphere.

6 - Install 1 hose clamp and the 90-degree coupler on the aluminum tube. Do not tighten yet!

7 - Loosely install the 90-degree coupler on the factory air inlet tube. Now take your air filter and visually align that so it will fit like the image

shown below. Adjusting the 90-degree coupler to the aluminum elbow will most likely also have to be done.

8 - Once everything looks to be aligned, take the intake off the sled and install the clamp (loosen fully) and air filter. The aluminum tube must go far enough inside the air filter for it to stay; this requires some effort. While holding the air filter on the tube, clamp it down until tight.

*Wed recommend waiting to install the pre-filter as it makes it harder to rotate the filter if needed*

9 - Install the last hose clamp over the 90-degree elbow and install it on the factory intake inlet tube. Make sure everything lines up like in the

image below. If so, check all clamps for tightness. If it does not line up correctly, make small adjustments as needed.

**Note** This air filter is synthetic and filters extremely well. DO NOT OIL this filter. When cleaning, just use compressed air.
